8 Natural Remedies for Mosquito Bites

Summertime means mosquito time for many of you. And I don’t have to tell you how uncomfortable it can be to be bitten by a mosquito.

If you are bitten by a mosquito, avoid off-the-shelf remedies from your local pharmacy. Instead, try these natural remedies to reduce the itch and inflammation caused by the bite:

This little wonder is packed with amino acids and active compounds that are wonderful for your skin.

Great for reducing swelling and itching, ice numbs the nerves to reduce the itch.

This vegetable reduces swelling. Cut it up and place it directly on the bite.

Use the fresh cut leaves to cool burning sensations and to reduce the itch.

This essential oil combats swelling, pain and itching. It may contain anti-bacterial properties to prevent infection at the site of the bite.

Full of thymol and camphor, simply crush it up and apply to the bite to relieve itching.

The tannins in tea work to draw fluid out of the bite, which reduces the swelling.

Vinegar helps stop itching due to its acidity. Put a few drops on a cotton ball and apply directly to the bite or mix a few cups in warm bathwater to soak for all-over bites.
